Essence of Leadership

To say that we live in challenging times is an understatement. There is a continual call for creativity to meet the demands of our situations - whether they be the organizational challenges of a global marketplace, the challenge of keeping up with new technologies and the opportunities they afford, the challenge of two working parents, or the challenge of job changes and health care - leadership is being called for at a higher level from more people.

Contegrity has taken on resolving the difference between the pace of change in our times and the pace of people's development of their leadership ability.

There is, in each of our lives as well as in our organizations and institutions, a call for leadership, for people to be able to bring others together in a trusting relationship, provide focus and direction, and have them fulfill accomplishments that require creativity and collaboration.

We offer a program that is a proven vehicle for the development of leadership. Graduates of the Essence of Leadership Program are able to meet those challenges by calling upon their own unique sources of power.

There is not one way to be a leader. Each person has their own style, their own source of power on which to draw. The Essence of Leadership Program provides a reliable method for identifying and developing this uniqueness, one's own "Leadership DNA".

The program is designed to develop executives, managers, business owners, as well as people determined to lead their lives well, in being able to invent a style of leadership that fits with what fulfills you, others, and life.

THE INTENT OF THE PROGRAM:

The overall intent of the Essence of Leadership Program is to enable you to establish a fundamental insight into the nature of leadership that leaves you free to effectively bring your own talents and strengths to the field of leadership.

In addition, the program intends to open you to an orientation of "being in development with life" - a powerful basis for ongoing development through one's own profession or work.

THE OUTCOME OF THE PROGRAM:

The outcome of the Essence of Leadership Program is a sense of quiet confidence in your ability to provide leadership to others through capitalizing on your own talents.

We will foster your ability to continuously develop the power to disrupt busyness and to provide pathways for unfolding an accomplishment.

The kind of leadership being opened is one that can develop a community of leaders rather than mere followers.

• The obsolescence of our images of leadership
• Common sense views of leadership and their flaws
• The accepted concept of leadership and its falsity
• What is actually worth doing? And how is leadership related to that?
• Images of leadership and how they confuse the issue
• The nature of human development and being in training
• The con of busy-ness
• The real nature of projects and human activity
• The nature of "unfolding" an accomplishment
• The freedom and power to lead
• What does a leader listen for?
• Developing the skill of "listening to life"
• Thinking/listening vs. knowing
• Distinguishing one's own style of leadership
• Who are you to lead?
• Destroying "should" as a basis of activity
• Trusting yourself and being trustworthy to correct
• Creating an environment of development

You are a candidate for this program if you are a business owner, a manager or executive in a corporation or institution; or if you are someone out to influence and lead others.

The tuition for this program is $2500.

Essence of Leadership II focuses on leadership of corporate cultures and structuring an organization or group for communication.
